Idle rants....!!!

Yet another evening , the three of us L , P and yours truly were yapping away watching a telugu flick ,thanx to P who had brought it from home. The unwritten rule of being in a multi-linguistic gang is that you get to learn all the profanity first. We were in the middle of one such exchanges when
( C-o-M and P are from the telugu desam while, L and I hail from the more advanced Chennai )

C-O-M: aapesava?
P: aan ya
Me: yarukku aapu?
P: oye she meant off
Me: oh, telungu desam onna sernthu yarukko aapu adikareengannu nenaichein....
P: BTW what does this word mean yaar, I ve heard many ppl use it . Is it gaali?
Me: Well, not quite.... r u familiar with the terms like ... rod ethifying...??
P:???
Me: The literal meaning of the term aapu is i guess a tool or something used in carpentry
L: Ithu ennadi , unnoda dictionary leya??? Oye P dont believe her, she is misleading u apram Mouna Ragam sardar katha than...
Me: Illa dee, enga paatti enakku chinna vayasila katha solli irukaanga, antha monkey katha... u know monkey and aappu???
L: Aye , paatti mela pazhi podathey , athu monkey n aappam....
Me: aaaaarrrggh, unnode GK ivlo mattama irukku...... that is a diff monkey diff story...
L: Enakku therinja orey monkey story athuthaan....Etho unakku theriyalenna, theriyaadunnu othuko..!!!
Me: ????

Sure, but Im not very sure abt hte story, there was once this monkey watching some carpenters at work, they left an appu in the half cut woods, n then hte monkey fooled around with that aapu n got it self into trouble.. I dont remember the moral or the story, watevah, but i do remb'r the aapu n the monkey, I'll get back to u on this after i clarify with my gramps...!!! I gues the term aapu means wedge ,if im not wrong..!!!

It used to be a lot worse with my mallu n punjabi roomies...

1 mallu+ 1 punjabi + 2 telugus + 3 tamils + 1 bengali maid - bengali literacy != unity in diversity BUT
(chaos)^ infinity AND LOL !!!

it reminds me of my telugu roommate who used to say this "Raepu sesthaava ?? " which means will u do it tomorrow ? but first time when i heard it i was wondering y is he asking me to rape someone...
